The World Energy Council organizes a world congress every three years and this year it will be held in Montreal, Canada. It brings together more than 3,500 top world leaders in the field of energy, industry, governments, international organizations, the media, universities and energy industry associations from all over the world. Because of this clients need local staff and of course they are calling National Event Staffing. One of our new clients is a Swiss company who was pleased to be able to organize staffing quickly and efficiently so they have local professional staff to assist them when they arrive at the Congress in September saving them the cost and stress of flying in and accommodating extra staff from Switzerland.

To celebrate Spain’s win of the World Cup in South Africa we thought it would only be fitting to feature Lauren S of Los Angeles. We accepted Lauren to our roster many years ago and she quickly became a favourite of our clients working many great events for us in Los Angeles and California. The Honda Indy is coming to Toronto and National Event Staffing will be there. Brazil called and we answered! We are always interested to talk to our new clients, to find out what they need and how we can assist and we are even more intrigued when we get calls from outside of the USA and Canada. We recently got a call from the Brazilian Tourist Board as they needed top notch staff to represent them at the “IEEE Power and Energy Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition” taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana. We were pleased to assist and the feedback from everyone involved was outstanding, from our staff that worked the event, the client and the Brazilian Tourist Board.

Our most recent "Featured Staff Member" is Heather, she joined National Event Staffing May 2009 and has been working for us in Waterloo and the surrounding Province of Ontario. She recently completed working at the Honda Indy in Toronto and we received wonderful feedback about her from our client. Heather is a "Certified Personal Trainer, Boxing Coach, and Nutrition Consultant". She is also signed up with us for work in the Province of Quebec and the State of New York.

Monica is raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program and she’s asking you to help by making a donation to her fundraising campaign. She will be running in Disney world, January 2010.

Our friend Shannae Ingleton put together another fantastic afternoon filled with everything “women want”. The staff from National Event Staffing were there, everyone had a great time and the event was a success.

Our most recent "Featured Staff Member" is Anca, she joined National Event Staffing January 2009 and has been working for us in Las Vegas and the surrounding State of Nevada. She recently completed working a Jewellery Tradeshow in Las Vegas and we received wonderful feedback about her from our client. Anca describes herself as "a very outgoing and very friendly person" and says that she enjoys "working at promo events" because "it's very fun and I always like to meet new people".

The fashion shows of LG and L’Oreal Paris Fashion Week in Toronto run well into the evening. Toronto’s late night crowd get a taste of Fashion Week as top designers bring their catwalks to the clubs.

LG and L’Oreal Paris Fashion Week has begun and National Event Staffing is there. Top designers and fashionistas converge for 1 full week of fashion and fun in Toronto. LG is a new sponsor pairing with long time sponsor L’Oreal Paris for 2009.

The Oscars were a hit this year and National Event Staffing was pleased to assist with a Pre Oscar Gifting Party in Hollywood for Runway Magazine. The event was held at the Famous Liberace Penthouse in Hollywood and was the Hottest Ticket in Town! The event welcomed celebrities, designers, the entertainment industry and friends of the magazine for two days and nights of pre Oscar celebrations.

Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity has taken centre stage for the past two years and 2009 plans to be even bigger and better. The 2008 SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas was a success and the men and women from National Event Staffing were there. This show attracts more than 120,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries and National Event Staffing is a solution they appreciate. They are looking for a way to save money while still being able to quickly create an effective presence at tradeshows and special events across the USA and Canada. National Event Staffing supplied both paid and volunteer staff to the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles California for “Hot Summer Nights”. David Beckham played the Pepsi MLS All Star Game in Toronto and National Event Staffing was there. Our excellent men and women staffed various interactive events outside the soccer field in the Fan Zone including the “One Million Dollar Kick” sponsored by American Airlines where one lucky fan had the chance to win a Million Dollars.

Our congratulations to Amanda Kennedy crowned Miss Hooters Canada 2008. Amanda won the competition against contestants from all across Canada bringing the crown home to the Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto. Let’s all wish her continued success in the competition as she moves to the finals. Amanda will now represent Canada in the Miss Hooters International Pageant in South Beach Florida.

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) starts in just one month. This trade show is held each January in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association. It is a trade-only show and is not open to the general public but it is at this show that many of the upcoming trends in technology are introduced and where many products are announced.

National Event Staffing would like to thank all of our staff who volunteered for the recent “All In For The Cure” charity poker tournament. Our staff assisted throughout the event, from start to finish and were kind enough to jump aboard months in advance while the event was still being planned.

All of our staff in the 50 United States have been extended an invitation to apply as a contestant for the new CBS game show premiering Thursday August 7 at 8pm called POWER OF 10. Contestants will compete for TEN MILLION DOLLARS by predicting how Americans responded to polls on all things political and pop culture.

We would like to thank all of the staff that volunteered their time to make this event a success. We work hard each day to ensure our staff are at great events making excellent wages and we also keep an eye open for volunteer opportunities that may give them a foot in the door within the industry.
